SAILED on 8/29 for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend. I chose the ' more Luxurious ' Royal Caribbean -(according to what they claim ) . The Large Interior room was extremely small, could barely turn around in the bathroom .. stayed on Deck 7.
The Food was expected to be ' Above Average ' on this MORE EXPENSIVE cruise liner ... But the food was Aweful ... Less than average ! All type Beef dinners were tough and low grade meat, the chicken was processed .. the Duck was bitter, the desserts are made to ' LOOK ' fancy but all were bland with no taste !!
On the day we arrived at CoCo Cay, hundreds of us had to wait for more beach towels, as they ran out at 11:00 AM .. ( guess they don't know they need more towels with a fully booked cruise ) ??
CoCo Cay Island was cute, but the beach as they call it was full of rocks and seaweed, with only about 30 feet of swim area ... pay another $30.00 p/p for use of the water slide play area.
NOW, THE CASINO WAS PATHETIC !! Most all slot machines were 1-cent denomination and after 3 days/ nights of playing over $1,100.00 Still could not win a dime !!! Played nearly every slot in there and never even won $100.00 Really Not Good Business for players ..
If your kids want to use the game room, HAH, only offered 6 games ... Really needs IMPROVEMENT !
Pool area was good, actually has 2 small pools, plus indoor pool.
Spa is overpriced, $200. for a Thai massage. The shows were basically comedy only.
I took 3 other friends with me and we were not impressed with this OVER priced cruise line.
If you have sailed with Royal Caribbean, chances are you have experienced one of these Coca-Cola Freestyle Machines.. Failing that they are readily available in Burger King.. or you may have seen a similar Pepsi version in Pizza Hut and Harvester restaurants.
I LOVE Freestyle machines because you can try out so many new flavours. Using the touch screen you can choose your type of drink i.e Diet Coke.. followed by your flavour.. i.e Strawberry, Cherry, Plain. They are fantastic for the kids too.
If you purchase one of the drinks packages offered by Royal Caribbean you will be provided with a special Freestyle cup with lid. (They are usually waiting in your cabin if you have pre ordered your drinks package). These cups contain an RFID chip which activates the machine.
Drinks packages with Royal Caribbean start from $8 per day and can be purchased before or during your cruise.
